Best of the 3 bottles we had....peaking now with acidity falling off, however. Dark, brooding and smoky flavors of black cherry, wild strawberry, cola and forest floor/mushroom well-integrated and delicious.
Really pretty medium garnet color in glass, rich nose of black cherry, rose petal and strawberry. Opens initially a touch tart, but full of same aroma flavors, with some mushroom on back palate, good acidic structure and a medium-long finish. Will hold last bottle for a couple of years, as it should improve over the next five years or so. Much-improved over the last 5 months, and shows promise indicated by prior reviewer.

Very nice with rose petals on the nose, sweet palate entry showing strawberry and cola, medium finish. Light on balancing acidity, maybe a bit dumb right now.

Didn't have the Ramal blend ready yet, but this Dijon clones was dark, dangerous and very very tasty. Wait til 2014 or later to drink. Great Burgundian promise. No CA power pinot this, it's the real thing.

Very nice soft nose, great mouthfeel, nicely balanced. Good fruit, cherry, a little candy but not too sweet at all. Really enjoyed this wine with dinner of chicken noodle soup, more so than without food. I will certainly get get more of this wine. Love Buena Vista.

Stronger nose than 03. Oak!. Which oakiness will go in 2 years says manager Jim. 3-years in the barrel 9-10 months. Cherry and Cardamom. Too light for the oak a the moment, compared with the 03. Not much earth or dark cherry.

Pinot on the River - Saturday Seminars (Russian River Valley Vineyards): Medium cherry red color; reticent, green and pine nose, that adds more cherry notes as it sits in the glass awhile; narrow, greenish, cherry, mineral and green bean palate, but low in acid; short-medium finish (reserve blend of 6 selected blocks; 10 mos. in 40% new French oak)

A cherry taste to a nice pinot, not the very best, but excellent for the buck. The finish on this wine is nice.

Some Carneros funk, raspberry and a bit of alcohol heat on the nose. Smooth black cherry flavor with medium body.

Pretty solid for our tastes, bright fruit; soft cherries; perhaps candy.
