Drank over two nights. Superb wine at its peak now. Soft but interesting complexity of fruit. Delightful flavour. Could last another year or two but no need. Drink up now

Lovely vibrant deep red colour that seems to glow in the glass. A very striking colour. Beautifully rounded nose plumb and caramel with a hint of mint. Primarily a fruit driven medium bodied wine. Big gulp of plumb with a bit of sharper cherry on the finish. Light oak which is nicely balanced. Big round mouth feel and lovely smooth tannins. Medium long finish. Fairly straight forward fruit driven wine but it is pleasant.

Dark purple core to rim. Nose is spicy with cedar, menthol and black liquorice. To taste it's sweet blackcurrants, viscous, chewy and quite cloying. A bit of a sweet fruit bomb, not my style.

Popped and poured. Nothing special. It's a little disjointed. There's a lot of alcohol and oak. Starting cold, the oak is unpleasantly emphasized, and as it warms up, the heat takes over. Very red fruit. Decent concentration, light structure. Unapologetically Barossa Shiraz, for better or worse. Still very fruit-forward, it might benefit from some bottle age. Ok, but certainly not worth $30.

"2011" Sydney International Wine Show - stewarding notes; 10/17/2010-10/22/2010 (Blue Mountains, NSW): {screwcap, 14.5%} A developing, almost subtle nose of violets and spice, but with an odd chemical note in there somewhere. Hmmm. It’s a loose-knit shiraz on the palate, with quite soft tannins, medium-bodied intensity, subtle oak and briary, spicy flavours before a medium-length finish. Not big or over the top (or hot, either) but somehow just feels as though it’s only going to deteriorate, not improve from here. Drink within 3 years for best results, I reckon.

Classic Barossa greasepaint aroma of added acid, age, warm Shiraz fruit.
I believe this is French oaked. Not particularly noticeable now.
Soft and silky now. No blockbuster. Flavoursome and enjoyable. Best served at cellar temperature.
14.5%, screwcap.

Not bad. Showing age with soft, integrated tannins. A little muted. An enjoyable drink but lacks complexity and interest. Drink up.

Very fruit-forward, dark, high alcohol, too berry sweet for my taste but smooth and rich.
