Wonderful Zin from Russian River. Well balanced with lots of dark fruit, not too high in alcohol. Really enjoyed this with BBQ meat...which brought out some smokiness in the wine. Much. Better than a bottle we had from the same vintage about a year ago.

Much better than our first bottle. Perhaps the extra time-in-bottle did the trick...Dark crimson color, with a clear ruby hue. Medium bodied. Pretty cedar & oak notes on the nose. Lovely purity of fruit. Loaded with rich, brambly flavors up-front, then segues seamlessly into a long, firm, tangy, Spice-ladden finish. No hint of "artificial flavors" here. In this instance, definitely worth the price...wish I had more! [15.1% abv.; $24.50].

Screw cap - screw & pour. Beautiful translucent dark ruby. Nose is cherries, raspberries and spice. On the palate more of a purple fruit profile, followed by cloves and pepper. Light texture, very easy to drink, however a bit on the simple side. This is a pleasant quaffer but nothing profound.

excellent QRP. Fruit forward but not overly so.Drinking well now and probably for a few more years to follow. Typical Zin berry richness. This will be our Holiday wine.

Dark, but not opaque color. Appreciable mulled oak & alcohol create something of a "solvent-like" quality on the nose. Interesting. Medium/light bodied. Nice brambly, "prototypcially-zin" fruit up-front, turns bright during the midpalate, and follows with some really pretty spice & gripping tannins along the medium length finish. A hint of "artificial flavor" does emerge on the very back. All told, nice enough. But not sure I'd race out and buy again at this price. Bottle's second half pics up a point on day 2. [15.1% abv.; $24.50].

Unscrewed and poured - was ready from the getgo and kept improving with air time; nice red-purple Zin colored wine; blue fruit bouquet; jammy bramble fruits, spice box, and pepper on the tongue; fine tannins, good acidity, medium/long finish. Nice sipper, good pizza wine. IMO this is a step above the 07 - I bought just shy of a half-case and I wish I had purchased more. An excellent qpr!!

Very jammy taste, loved it. Best Zin I have had in a while. Fruity nose, lots of raspberrys and plums, lingering finish. Raspberry's last on the palette for the length of the finish. Bold & beautiful zin, drinking great now but should store well for another 1-2 years.

Nice, ripe fruit with a touch of oak... but too much of either. Tasty on its own, or with something like a rack of ribs (wish I had one tonight!).
