Medium gold. On the nose medium intensity aromas of petrol, meyer lemon, tangerine, honey, blossom. On the palate the wine is medium dry, high acid, medium body with medium plus flavor intensity of meyer lemon, tangerine, dried peach, honey, blossom. The finish is medium plus with lingering tangerine honey and nuts. This is an outstanding wine, still showing alot of fresh fruit along w/some tertiary notes of petrol, honey and dried fruits. This wine can easily go another 10 yrs- thank goodness I have more.

Classic Mosel kabinett Riesling, light and lithe, misses out on the mineral cut and drive from the greater sites like WS and GH. Fine accompaniment to a meal and drinking well now.

Clear, pale, lemon in appearance. The nose is clean with pronounced intensity. The palate is med dry, with high acidity, low alcohol, med(+) body, pronounced intensity and a long finish. Notes of apple, peach, mango, wet stone, flint, petrol, honey and marmalade.
Outstanding wine with points for balance, length, intensity, and complexity. Drinking well now but has the acidity, sugar and structure to easily age another 15-20 years.

The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon colour and showing some petillance and tartaric deposit. The nose is clean and developing, showing some initial notes of reduction and medium+ intensity aromas of petrol, lime, lemon peel and green apple. The wine is medium-sweet with a high zesty acidity. It has a low alcohol, medium body and pronounced intensity flavours of lime, lemon peel, green apple and hints of petrol. The finish is medium+.
It is a very good quality wine with a great fruit concentration and a very nice finish. It shows typicity too, but it could be more complex. Can drink now, but it has enough acidity and fruit concentration to develop more complex aromas in the next 10+ years.

Beautifull nose of white peach, citrus and mineral... the taste has a hint of refreshing spritz with loads of minerality, ripe white pears, and citrus in the finish... I'm surprized that the Kabinett already give such a high level of pleasure and absolutely adore the minerality of this wine!!

consistent with my prior note. Suplphur and rubber tire on the nose with light white fruit notes, light body and lightly sweet, but needs more acid and energy

Medium straw colour. Very reductive nose, took 20-30 mins to blow off. Tropical fruits, nice intense flavours, a touch of spritz, initial hit of acidity. Doesn't really flow through the palate and gets a bit unbalanced towards the end where it loses some intensity.

Very pale green colour. Quite subdued nose, touch sulphuric to start but that faded quickly. Stunning palate though, of pure tart green apple, honey, excellent minerality and a light spritz betraying it's youth. Slate, very good length and all with a stunning purity. Very poised. Off-dry finish. Shows very well for it's quality level.

Opened this wine un-chilled (had been traveling) and let breathe for awhile. Funk blew off rather quickly. Very rich fruit with a mineral element and not as much RS compared to most other Mosel rieslings. Good wine, though a bit over-priced in this area of the country. Repeat buy if found at a good price.

Much like most other young JJ Prums that I've tasted, this starts out with heavy sulfur aromas at first. We let it sit out on the counter for two days opened to let it aerate and a good deal of the sulfur blew off. After, it showed some funky aromas (perhaps sponti) along with peach, melon and citrus aromas with a slatey bed of minerality. Even from the first day, it had a beautiful silky texture with pure peach and orchard fruit on the palate and racy acidity that balances out the slight RS. Probably best to let these sleep for a few years before approaching.

Heavily sulphured nose takes time to get past; Surprised at how little rs is here, pretty dry for a modern Kab. Nice but frankly I'd like a bit more acid.

- Greenish color and aromas of sulfur dioxide, grapefruit and melon and has flavours of grapefruit, melon, apple and peach. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Very well made Kabinett the fruit is very prominent, this is an easy drinker with a good balance of fruit and acidity. There is a yeast element to this wine almost like beer bread, also there is a nice minerality like wet pavement. There is a definite acid zing on the finish which rounds everything out.

This is what Kabinett is all about. 9% alc. A slightly dry riesling with mild yet very satisfying aromatics and a thirst quenching palate that is unmistakably Mosel. Very satisfying. Spectacular qpr @ $13!

Great value. Tons of ripe melon, peach and pear. Loads of fruit, a little sweeter than I think a Kabinett should be, OK acidity but definitely not an ager.
