Much better than the example in 9-2005 (Touchais-tasting). Had this one with a piece of duckpâté and that rocked! Honey, ginger, very spicy. Lovely freshness due to this young and wild acidframe. And this is an average vintage... No score, but I'll remember this one as 'excellent' (~ 17/20 IMB)

Moulin Touchais Vertical (Gall & Gall, Amsterdam): Reddish yellow, colour of cherrywood. Dusty nose, marred by hints of oxidation. Slightly disjointed on the palate showing notes of iron, marzipan and apple syrup. Lots of bitterness in the back. Sub-par. 14.5/20

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #022; Loire Chenin Blanc: Pity, this bottle is not completely fresh. Don't know what's wrong. Not really corked, but a bit musty. The backbone is surely ok. No score.

This bottle has kept its vigour for 37 years. Shows its age, but still fresh apple-flavors and a long, deep complexity in the aftertaste.
