  • PnP, multilayered in the best sense, both red and dark fruits, fantastic aromas and greath lenght, very impressive wine as always, will hold several more years

  • Our 3rd and last bottle and frankly we should have kept this for a few more years.
We had our last 4 yearsa go (Papies 92) and we said wait 3 more but we should have left this for 10 more as the wine is still very much on the power side and exhibits little of the multifaceted side it can achieve one it ages and and becomes more secondary. Still a good 92 but needs time to get into its full stride. Treat it like a 2005 right bank.

  • Normally one of my absolute favorite wines but tonight after 85 Ygay and 94 L`Evangile it felt young and unfinished - at 21 years! For a wine from Tuscany!!

  • Sweet red/black fruit notes, deep ruby (which is surprisingly deep for this age) - cedar (from oak), bramble, mint. Still strong primary notes, slight tertiary. Long finish. Tannin/ acidity med+. What’s amazing is the alcohol doesn’t detract - 15% and I didn’t notice it (not hot alcohol, nor port like flavors), which makes this pretty awesome.

  • Mit erheblich mehr Belüftung als das letzte Mal total ausgewogen - das ist mein Wein - hat den sehr guten Sassicaia 2009 an diesem Abend sowas von weggespielt...für mich geht nicht viel besser...

  • Still young, needs air, full bodied but rather cool, just starts to loose its baby-fat, dark fruits & exotic spices. Had this wine 3-4 times and was never disapointed. Expensive but worth it.

  • Wow! Still young. This is a massive wine but without being heavy, supported by high acidity and tannin. Cabernet Franc element weighs in at almost 50% and the other grapes, in descending order of importance, are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The oak is also big – lovely high quality vanilla notes.

  • This is just an amazing wine. Opened the bottle 2 hours before starting to drink it - even though it will likely keep longer, we believe that it is at or close to its peek. One of our all time favorite Tuscan wines - it doesn’t get much better!

  • Consistent with 6 months ago and we will leave our next bottle for 3yrs+ just to see how this evolves.
Dark , rich, quite expressive on the fruit, ripe with decent level of oak albeit not dominant. Very much a youngish supertusctan and needs its time to evolve some more. Beautiful though if what one looks for is that density of fruit. 92-93 from us

  • Young, dark and full. Needs decanting but really it needs a bit more time to develop.
Dark in colour, dark fruited nose, light herbs.Dark cherries, well round, firm but not sharp tannin. The wine has the stuffing to go a long time but really it needs more time. Very solid and elegant still. A good 92 for now but full of promise for the future

  • Ray's birthday bottle. A beautiful, effortless wine - this was easily 10-15 years from peak, but already brilliant. It had such an intriguing nose, with wafts of sweet cherries and dried strawberries laced with wild herb and bramble, dried earth and just that little ring of something smoky in the distance. Glorious. On the palate, the wine still felt youthful and primary, with rich, intense flavours of dark berries, plums and black cherries, but the density and depth was balanced by a deep river of underlying acidity that lent the wine a wonderfully juicy energy and strength. Fine tannins gave the wine a lovely chew and texture as it slid past the midpalate and into generous finish flushed with warm spice and more of that brambly, herby goodness. Delicious, complete and effortless, but there is so much packed in here still waiting to unfold. Brilliant stuff.

  • Wow!!!!! Amazing wine. Like a smoldering Bordeaux., silky mouthfeel and looooong persistent finish that sails on and on. Supple yet sinewy. A complex and special bottle. Thank you tyee and seaquam for the gift! My WOTY so far.

  • This was a fantastic bottle of Trinoro. Bouquet of tobacco, wood, penicl shavings, cassis. On the palate very silky tannins, underwood, long finish.

  • Very Pauillac nose of dark fruits, leather, cedar and pencil lead. Distinctly Italian on the palate with good bright acidity and asian spice. Fine fully resolved tannins.

  • Exceptional bottle. Though still quite young, this wine showed very well with 1 1/2 hours decanting and continued to open up for another hour in the glass. Hints of cherry, celery, cocoa, leather, cassis. Tannins were quite velvety. Wonderful balance. Would love to try again in a few years as it would certainly benefit from some time in bottle. For those drinking it now I would recommend at least 2-3 hours in a decanter.

  • This - of course - was a joker! And what a joker indeed! Dark garnet colored. Nose is warm and herbal with some burned notes. Taste has great sweetness and some buttermilk. It feels light and superbly balanced - very elegant. Rating: 93+
