A big bruiser of a Barossan fruit bomb. Licorice and Dr Pepper flavours leap out on the palate, and the finish is pretty decent at carrying these through. Initial taste upon opening it was a bit flabby and jammy, but I put it in the fridge for about 20 minutes and at around 17 deg C it was a much better wine, but still nothing to chase down.

For those into jammy Barossa fuit bombs, this is excellent value. The nose is full of ripe black fruits, plus some. Almost confectionary. Soft mouth-feel, lots of ripe fuit with some licorice and chocolate but lacks a tannic punch to supplement the fruit. Outstanding value and a great mid-week drink. It drops away quite quickly with some air time, I wont decant next time.

Inky color, jammy ripe fruit with a smooth finish. Small alcoholic bite that dissipated after a few minutes of opening up. Fantastic value, would definitely purchase again.

Deep red to purple in colour, with a tightly bound nose of dark cherry, blackberry and coffee. The structure of this wine is excellent with concentrated black fruits on the front palate moving towards savoury, earthy characters in the mid to back. The wine finishes with an emphasis on the blackberry and satsuma plum fruit. There are firm but rounded tannins that are not overbearing, and definite acidity present that some will like more than others, it does however underwriting a medium term cellaring prospect.

Eurocave 25th birthday happening (Herzlia): Interesting and complex – alcohol and a mix of ripe fruits and flowers. Medium to full bodied. Very nice and accessible.
