Surprise hier soir avec les 2 dernières bouteilles: C'était excellent, tout en fruit et bien typé Pinot de Bourgogne. Seul défaut: Un peu court en bouche, surtout à l'aération.

No formal note, but this shows simple raspberry fruit, with a notable bubble-gum quality, some soily complexity. On the palate it has light/moderately intense simple fruit, trademark firm/scratchy bourgogne tannins on a short/moderate length finish. Just about acceptable for this level, one to drink up.

First bottle corked. Second bottle opened by merchant. Little nose.faint cherry perhaps. Pale red in colour, verging on white on the rim.Thin, reedy and sharp in the mouth. No fruit whatsover, and merchant agreed there will be no improvement with age. It very disappointing and a shame the owners are still using the Nicolas Potel name especially now he has Domaine de Bellene. My merchant agrees this is a poor wine and has taken back the case which I have replaced with some early drinking Louis Latour PN 2009- something I should have bought in the first place. So be aware that Nicolas Potel has made no wine under that name since 2008.

Pale/medium ruby, very pale ruby rim. Moderate intensity nose showing youthful black cherry fruit, slightly "bubblegummy", earth, hints of iron. Medium bodied on the palate, firm tannins, medium intense black cherry fruit, earth, good acidity, typical bourgogne tannic signature on the medium length finish. Decent enough for what it is.

Nothing to write home about. at £8 from a decent negotiant you'd expect a decent entry level Bourgogne and you get a decent entry level Bourgogne. This had a bit of fruit on the nose but little else. Manned up a bit more in the glass with weightier cherry and some thing else that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Rarely above the lighter end of mediuum bodied. Eminently quaffable, rather without interest. Minimal finish. The quest for a gem under £10 continues.

Pale/medium ruby core, medium pale ruby rim. Youthful nose, with black cherry fruit, smoky with hints of earth. Medium bodied on the palate, initially showing some offputting cardboardy notes, seemed to blow off to reveal a true to type, slightly lean Bourgogne with ripe dark cherry and plum fruit, notes of earth and some firm tannins on the medium length finish. Quite good. (12.5% ABV)

Décevant que ce vin générique pourtant d'un grand millésime et d'une maison (jadis) réputée. Pas de typicité Pinot Noir et dilué, mince. Sans intérêt.

Light fading black from. Stemmy and thin. Just a weak generic Burgundy.

this is dying fast - thin and a bit insipid - I now doubt my previous words that this wine was good value

A bit thin but overall not at all bad - price ratio for a Burgundy reasonable

About on the mark for the appellation, thin but with a little depth of flavour. A drink now proposition.

Ouf, totalement ou presque dépourvu d'arômes. Mauvaise bouteille? Peut-être? Non noté.

Une belle pureté de fruit, mais manque sérieusement de grip.
