Ok, I'm late to the party. Had a case of this and down to last 2 bottles so had one tonight w robust ski meal. Just found it a bit non-descript though still very drinkable. Remember it being very much like the earlier reviews on the site. Just waited too long for the last 2.

I would almost rate this higher, but trying to stay level-headed. This is such a great value wine--I'll always open this alongside higher priced wines at parties and without fail there are people that pick it as the favorite. This vintage is peaking right now, with rich flavors of dark fruits and a nice mouthfeel. Just had my last '04 and I wish I had another case.

This has held up well. Opaque garnet. Definite spicebox on the nose along w/ dark fruit. Not much of the meaty/gamey nose that Mourverde usually has for me. Mid-weight mouthfeel w/ an okay finish. I think acidity and tannins are balanced.

I liked it. Terrific QPR and has held up well to the cellaring. Nice dark plummy taste, but hints of cloves and cinnimon. Tannis were well rounded to a nice smooth moderate finish. This is a BBQ burger or sausage on a bun kind of wine, nothing fancy just good solid value.

18 months since my last bottle (which was not a good experience), and it's at least improved. Generally unremarkable, but not, well... unenjoyable -- was talked into purchasing several bottles so will wait another few months before trying the next one.

Maybe it's just me, but this was a rough, vin ordinaire of middling quality. Tannins were astrigent, but no rewarding big red mouth/nose. Disappointing...

Deep purple color. Very tight at first but opened up after 30 - 45 minutes. Very spicy fruit on the nose and palate. Nice body and tannins but was hot and this overpowered the fruit. Went well with barbecue.

I didn't like this at first, and was very disappointed. But after about 30 minutes, it really opened up, and became a very nice, and berry heavy wine that I will definitely buy again.

After a great buildup from my wine merchant, I was ready to be dissappointed. Just the opposite. I thought it was much better than the 2004 Luzón Jumilla Verde that I bought at the same time. Fantastic value. Getting a case.

Big nose of dark fruits, some spice, some earth and funk. Full bodied, very ripe, jammy, tons of blueberry. Short finish. Fairly anonymous modern styled wine. Good QPR but simply not anywhere near a 90 point wine.

Initially a bit tight. Recorked and left in fridge 3 days. Much better now -- concentrated cherries, licorice, raisins, touch of cocoa. Rich, with a bit of tar. Low acidity and fine, resolved tannins. Short to moderate finish (~10 seconds) with no heat. Probably the best QPR of the cheapy Parker recs I've tasted from last year.

Deep, darkly colored. Very aromatic showing tart red berry, clove, mineral. Flavors are simple, but pleasant with raspberry, red licorice, leather, spice . Plush and silky mouthfeel. Finishes well also. A nice tone of fruit, fine tannins and oak carries through the aftertaste. Could use a little bit more acid to my palate but nonetheless a very good QPR.

Deep ruby color. Nose of plum and blackberries, with background notes of tar and almonds. On the palate it has nice acidity, tannin present, full bodied with a good persistence on the finish. Not hugely complex but a nice wine to drink young.

Decanted, no sediment seen. Nose of dark fruit. More dark fruit on the palate - plums - very rich and sweet. There are fine tannins which produce a powdery effect in the mouth. Mild spice in the finish. Fruit lingers on the finish - very pleasant.

Wow. Damn fine wine for less than the cost of lunch. Can't expecyt much more for $7.99. Nice dark fruit and vanilla upfront followed by a smooth palate. A bit tart and not much finish, but nice quaffer for the money.

Medium depth purple. Full, exotic nose of ripe red fruits, licorice, chocolate, cassis, raisins. Rich palate, in balance-- licorice, blueberry, tangy red fruits, leathery components-- full bodied, soft yet with some nice balance and length. The finish is a little short, showing some heat.

<Greg, Sally> Wonderful QPR. Tastes much richer than it scans (at the register.) Floral and sweet redfruit dominate the nose. The palate cranks plenty fruit, mainly blackberries for me. But also some leather and licorice and improved with airtime. Impressive

Purple color with a full nose packed with red berries, raisons, and floral undertones. Blackberries take center stage on the palate as well as some heat on the finish. Great value at eight bucks a bottle.

TWC does Spain (Rex & Judy's): A wine that impressively improves over time, and for the money a worthwhile case purchase. Dark, spicy fruits, with hints of blackberry and dark chocolate. Very fruit forward in the mouth with black raspberry, leather and blackberry flavors. Not complex but plenty there and a great value.

Pretty impressive for 8 bucks. Smooth and mild on the finish, pleasant blueberry, tar and vanilla on the nose. A bit hot when first opened, but after about an hour in the glass it was ready to go.

Second bottle was much more consistant with others notes and no sign of excessive VA on the finish. Almost jammy with rasberry and blackberry fruits, vanilla, spice, tar. The balance leans toward the fruit. So if that is what you are in to, then this is a great buy for you. I would like to see a touch more complexity. However, at $6.49, there are no real complaints.

Nice and full for an under $10 bottle. Flavors of dark red and blue fruits with some tannin underneath. Darker and deeper than other Spanish value (all grenache) bottlings due to the blend being 65% mouvedre and 35% syrah. Great QPR and a by the case purchase for me.
$7

Purchased for <$10. Deep inky purple color, quite opaque. The nose is of sweet blackberries, a little earth and a little spice. Sweet smooth palate, very much like blackberry jam, but not jammy per se. Very mild tannins, smooth easy finish.
This is a terrific value wine. It's a little simple, but I may buy more for easy drinking.
