Beginning to darken just a bit in color. Awesome nose of lees, spice and some nuts. On the palate this is fresh and clear. No oxidation. With time this gets weighty almost more Chassange like. Great texture depth to this right now. Really lovely and I would say time to drink up as its not going to get better from here.

Tasted blind - Airy and expansive nose of pure white orchard fruits, low pitched and gentle when first poured but gradually gained more weight and oomph. Creamy minerals that resonates on the palate for 30 seconds, great length. No detectable ripe fruits but the slightly lower acidity suggests a warmer vintage, 2010/ 2016? Fully primary with mild reduction. 2016? Meursault 1er Cru? (90/100)

Served next to the PYCM and very subdued on the nose in comparison. I’ve enjoyed this vintage from Ente in the past, so surprised the wine was rather shy. Linear and focused on the palate. Showed stoned fruits on the palate.. Came back to the wine a number of times over the evening, and it hinted at showing more on the nose, but ultimately remained subdued.

This wine was served blind. Poured into a decanter for 30 mins. Some people thought it was a coche. Nose has gunflint, chalk, lemon zest and minerals. Palate has very high acidity, precise and linear yellow fruit. The acidity is a positive surprise for a 09. I can understand why the market is crazy about this wine. Very good. 92-93

Dinner at Iggys. Drank alongside the Ente La Seve du Clos 2008. This was a very good wine, certainly none of the ripe, low acid character of 2009. Bright gold. Flinty nose, with a touch of matchstick, lemon lime, peach, pineapple and almond. Great balance of fruit and acid on the palate, with the wine improving steadily over a couple of hours. This should gain more complexity and weight with an additional few years.

Expressive on the nose from open. Smokiness alongside white stoned fruits. Lots of White fruits on the palate. Great minerality and complexity. Super long. Sort of flinty on the finish, which goes on for ages. Ente really smashed it in 2009.
This didn't last long. Always a good sign in my house.

First time drinking Ente. Very excited. Nose not giving much away to start. Became more expressive with time. Summer orchard. Impressive on first taste. Crisp. Great acidity but also a nice complexity and a softness of mouthfeel. A hint of sweetness, stoned fruits on the finish. Also some smokiness. Real depth and intensity of flavours.
Ps. Love the wax seal and long cork.

Tour du Monde (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Also fairly firm and reductive to start, even with clearly fat/ ripe peaches and pears alongside roasted nuts. Better after an hour in glass. Probably not the most cellarworthy vintage for this wine because 2009's overall ripe character is amply clear in this wine.

Savory nose. Green apple, lime, lemon, oak, and salted butter on the palate. Smooth, round mouthfeel. Lingering mineral finish with lime and green apple peel. Very well integrated.

Interesting comparison between white wine zalto and universal zalto. White wine zalto is definitely more focused on the nose and palate. The universal makes everything calmer, and rounder, which is not sure the point with Ente.

Well I am once again in rapture. The amazing intensity of flavor and energy coupled together is just extraordinary. Lengthy finish, still a baby, getting better and better.

Very (unusually) green in colour, with a wonderful savoury nose of limestone mixed with ham. And then - oh? very disappointing in the mouth, short with none of the expected excitement. Others agreed, so not just me. Try again another time...

Absolutely stellar. Stoney and mineral on the nose, smokey, bacon fat, scrambled eggs with plenty of brown butter. Utterly rich on the palate, and incredibly long finish. Its open and ready to go. I wonder how far it will go. Outstanding.

Wow, what a forceful and flavorful palate. As Tim notes the Meursault line up is so much broader on the palate. Les notes the oily Meursault aspect.
