Hint of sweet maybe from the bit of Syrah in the blend. Acidity and tannins didn't really blend until a couple days letter when I tried it again.

Finally hit the sweet spot for me, everything in balance now, savory, silky, cherry, coffee and tertiary aromas in balanced mixture. Doubt will improve more, but now is way better than young.

Drank after Villa Antinori rosso 2008, this comes more fruity but yet savory, the usual coffee and red fruits have becomes nicely together and much better compared to when the wine is young. I would personally like it with 2-3y more in a bottle, although now is just great with most of Italian meal classics.

Cherries and red currants aroma. Slight sweetness on the palate. Taste of liquorice, cedar and spices. Some gripping tannins on the finish. But got better after 1.5 hours. Some sediments present in the wine. Decanting will probably be better.

This light bodied Chianti has always been controversial to me. This time with simple pasta+tomato, it was really nice with good cherry, even a touch of plum, some coffee action, I drank it from smaller glass to concentrate the aromas and really liked it. I think it is overpriced and if I don't get it on offer I will not bother with it.

Much better than the bottle I tasted about a year or two ago. Cherries, medium to long finish with a dash of cigar box. One of the best Chianti Classico I enjoyed for a long time. Wish I had some more bottles.

Red/purple colour. This was OK - but only just. Opened up with significant cow yard aromas (read brett), which kind of subsided, but then came back with extra potency after the bottle being open for about two hours. It finally got to the point I poured the bottle down the sink.
Pity, because the underlying fruit in the wine seemed sound, if not great - red cherries, plum, herbs, earth, cedar. But even then, the fruit just seemed a bit lifeless on the palate. Disappointing for such a well known producer who probably should do a bit better.

90/5/5 Sangiovese/Merlot/Syrah. Still Classico though (?). Medium plus nose of expressive earth, mushroom, raspberry. Palate is rustic style of dried fruit, but in a modern way. Medium tannins, smooth, Nice wine.

Popped and poured with penne & marinara sauce with meatballs. Aroma is dark raspberry and earthiness. Taste has the typical earthiness up front that I get from lots of Tuscan wine, along with the dark raspberry coming afterwards. There is a bit of funk to this in addition to the earthiness that makes it not too enjoyable.

decent inexpensive chianti. some red fruit on the nose, but also some wood/cedar/oak/earth notes come through, possibly even a whiff of green leaf/earth as well. medium body, decent finish. definitely quaffable but nothing spectacular

Отличное, очень гастрономичное и типичное Кьянти. Аромат подчеркнуто сладкий (слива, черноплодка), с тонами копченостей и сырой земли. Вкус яркий, сочный и свежий, с ударной атакой, убедительным средневкусием и отличной кислотностью. Сладость, кислотность и танины во вкусе не сливаются и не создают округлости, но звучат ярко и в унисон - как три разнотональных инструмента в оркестре, создавая ударную волну, которая накрывыает с головой. Вино скорее буйное, чем вкусное, оно бодрит, а не успокаивает.
Будет идельным сопровождением к жирному красному мясу на гриле.

Dark red colour with purple tone. On the nose there's truffles, leather mixed with young tones of cherry. The palate is filled with cherry and dried herbs.
Very good already, but will probably evolve nicely with a couple of years of extra cellaring.

Rusinainen ja lämmin tuoksu, sangiovese ja lämmin italia tuoksuvat. Rusinaa ja viikunaa sekä maatuokauja. Maku on hieman vielä tanniininen, pari vuotta lisää aikaa helpottaisi oloa. Marjainen, ehkä vielä hieman raaka maku. Pitkä ja tukeva jälkimaku ja hyvä rakenne.

Red colour.
The nose is refined with a mixture of earth, cherry and a hint of cedar.
The palate is soft and medium-body with a taste of earth and with a long finish of cherry. With austere tannines.
Very good already, but will pobably evolve nicely with a year or so of extra bottle aging.
