70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, & 10% Mourvèdre from 2, 34 (total) ha plots with soils of "red clay & rocks (pebbled stones of quartz) exactly 3 m outside the CdP appellation. [A small lane of rocks going through the rocky plateaux had been decided to be the AOC limit in 1936.] Harvest crushed & destemmed. Fermentation in temp controlled s/s vats at 28°C. 18-day vating period with 'pigeage'. Typically aged 12 mos, the Grenache in concrete vats, the Syrah & Mourvèdre in 4 yr old barrels;"
