From Obidos, near Lisbon, close to the Atlantic coast. Made naturally with very little intervention by Rodrigo Filipe. Aromatic, with dark fruits, violets and some vegetal notes. Very pure and fresh, light tannins and a lovely minerality, acidity and some salinity from the coastal winds. Excellent food wine. Touriga Nacional is a grape that is used for some of Portugal’s bolder wines so the elegance and savoriness of this came as a revelation. Will keep developing.
