Dark, firm yet subtle & light. Thick velvet? A cello solo? Opaque black center opens to brilliant garnet edges. Aromas of black raspberry, dried sage, violets, and freshly cracked Madagascar peppercorns. Medium-bodied with a good structure. Layers of dark jammy flavors, BBQ char, more black pepper, and mixed spices. So much going on here.

A perfect picnic wine. Light-bodied, fresh, with ripe raspberry & tart cranberry fruit, but grounded with earthy, oaky ballast, and rounded out with herbaceous notes & minerality. Enjoy chilled, ideally outside, through 2027

Drinking beautifully now (2024). Plum, dried rose petals, potting soil, grilled portobellos, with a just a bit of (good) red licorice. Savory, sweet, and light on its feet. Structure suggests that it’s just getting started. Pair with any combo of mushrooms, truffle, and Parmesan (pizza, risotto, flatbread, etc).
