A good value and drinkable now (with decanting). A bit on the sweet side, but shows typical vintage-port character. Opaque, blood red color and lots of aromatics (after decanting…consider open it up before cooking dinner with goal of having it ready for later that night). Intense notes of mixed berry jam, bing cherry, and kirsch, followed by herbal and earthy notes, including dried sage and potting soil, then plenty of tannic grip. Maybe not quite ready to be enjoyed on its own, but rather paired with a dessert that goes well with the dense fruit while soaknig up some of those fierce youthful tannins.

Licorice, dark fruit and already mellowed tannins. Dense.
