A wine that was reasonably enjoyable with the meal though I was hoping for more. Lacked some body and substance for me, though I tend to enjoy more concentrated red wines.

Previous note from Mic Mac is spot on. This wine has now bloomed after the previous bottle approx. 18 months ago was a little boring and closed. Wonderfull sweet lifted Grenache flavours of pomegranate and musk but with some body provided by the shiraz and morvedre. Those secondary shiraz notes just hinting of their presence in terms of cigar box and leather. Great balance, very reminiscent of a good vintage of Torbreck's Steading.

Enjoyable earthy, leather, cherries on the nose. Palate very dusty, dry, & long. Better than some other more expensive examples from this winemaker.
