I don’t have time to do a detailed note, but this is one of the best chards I’ve ever had. Medium-bodied and long. Great structure. One odd, but charming, thing about the wine is its aged-Riesling-ness. It’s got a petrol thing going on. I love this wine.
I am forever surprised when tasting this wine. Got my first bottle at a gift shop in or near the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park and thought that I must be drunk with the atmosphere of the being in the park. When I got back home, I ordered some directly from the winery to be had at Thanksgiving. Sure enough, this was still an excellent wine, much less a fruit wine. It's now become a Thanksgiving tradition -- I love to surprise guests with this wine.

Ruby with a tinge of purple, pale. On the nose currant, rose, dried herbs, meat, and Nicoise olive. In the mouth, great balance but less fruit and more of that Nicoise olive felt in the upper back of the mouth/throat. More meat and game. Long finish. Love this wine. Give two or three years before trying again.
