This wine was just spot on tonight! Nose of truffles, grilled meat, spices, sweet cherries, pepper, a hint of barn and garrigue. The palate is juicy, with fine and lovely sweet red fruit, spices, not in any way heavy, and with a perfect balance with the fruit just slightly drying out in the end and with the tannins still present. This should still be good for quite some time, but i cannot imagine it being any better than it was tonight... Only regret is, that i only have 1 bottle left:-(
Aromatics of black pepper, cherries, blood and grilled meats, a hint of smoke, and just a touch of spices - coriander, cloves. The palate is full bodied, though lighter in style and more "cool" fruit than your average Saxum... Wonderful blue and red fruit, good tannic and acidity grip. Roast spices and oak. I really like the 2011 vintage from Saxum. This wine does not have the length or concentration of 2011 Bone Rock, but is on the other hand much more aproachable.
