Reminds me of a very attractive blonde with very little new to say. Gorgeous texture and sweet tannins but beyond the power just isn’t unique or super interesting versus say great Barolo or No Rhône. I’d happily drink it again but it’s not a wine I would get too excited about.

This is one of my all time favorite wines so let me gush. Nothing else tastes like it. It’s literally red meat in a glass with sweet cherry juice and black olives and herbs and acidity to make you go back for another sip. Complex hearty red wine for a cold winter day. Drink it right now or wait.

Cherries ripe raspberries and light spices. Medium bodied Dusty tannins Can age but delicious tonight with herbed salmon, roasted broccoli and homemade white bread and butter. Delicious wine but expensive.

1/8/2014 7:32:00 AM - RA1 - yes I meant La Doriane. I was using a phone app and my search for the bottle came up as Hommage, but perhaps that's not accurate.
In any event - truly wonderful stuff...
1/8/2014 5:03:00 AM - Hello, I enjoyed your recent TN of 2011 E. Guigal Condrieu Hommage á Etienne Guigal La Doriane. But am I confused or are you referring to La Doriane? I've never heard of Hommage. Any insight appreciated...thank you!
