Jammy is the best way to describe this. Smoky plum and some black cherry, as the label suggests. A little bit of raisin. Does hide its alcohol well; label says 16.5% but probably an undercalculation. Had it with burgers and BBQ sauce and it held its own very well.

A classic example of Sonoma coast pinot -- fruit-forward and juicy, velvety mouthfeel, a hint of the earth in the fogbelt. We had with some excellent cheddar cheese and it was a good combination.

Briar and a little raisin, tannins mellowed, long finish. Good with broiled lamb chops.
