Agree with both NateR and Wayfarer. Nice fruit aromas and tastes and it has that wonderful NZ grassiness/herbaceousness, but a bit too acidic. Will have to try to pair it with something that will counter the acidity.

I’ve had three bottles of this wine sitting in my cellar for many years, probably since the early 2000’s. After reading D. Fulton’s review I decided to open a bottle.
The bottle I opened was drinkable but definitely past its prime. Thin and a bit raisiny and had a bit of a brown hue, like it was oxidized.
Hoping it’s just bottle variation and the two bottles I have left will be better. But if you have any of this stuff left, it’s probably time to drink it, or at least try one of your bottles and see how it’s aging for you.

Not the best Syrah ever, but enjoyable nonetheless. Good balance, nice dark fruit, but not a lot of depth. A bit past its peak, but still quite drinkable. An excellent wine for the price. Wish I had bought about 6 more bottles.
