A wine worthy of writing about. My last of these and considering the holiday, a worthy cork to pop. It doesn't disappoint. The fruit is still surprisingly lively given it's age and the tertiary aromas of leather, sweet red fruit and and tobacco explode from the glass. Perfectly integrated with a ton of life left. Once again this wine proves to be one of the finest Bordeaux's ever made.
Just not all that well made in my opinion. Even after 4hrs of decanting, it just doesn't offer up anything special. In fact, its simply too green and stemmy. I'm assuming they used whole clusters with stem inclusion. It lacks balance, body and concentration. Very disappointed.
