Really expressive, if a little weak in the back. It feels a little slick, so there's little body. But I am always impressed by how much I keep sipping the damn thing, like there's always a tease of something just a little deeper. This could be a go-to dinner wine if you were eating something with a little more of an acidic base.

Great mouthfeel, with a zest on the front of the tongue, and a deep linger in the back. If there was any fault, as the wine opened up, there was some gamey, vegetative qualities that you either dig, or don't. I happen to like a darker red with some wild twists that are not what you'd call French Finesse. Great wine.

Spicy, sweet, yet dry. Pretty fantastic with food.
