Finally opening up the first of a case of this Brunello. So Happy now that I scored this case Wine is really a winner and I think there is more goodness to come. Good QPR. A bit Honeysuckle and soft cherries on the nose. Gave it a good hour open but no decant. Good solid fruit, cherry then black cherry. Not a huge wine, but good mouth feel and a bit of complexity, but of fig and black fruit on the finish. Medium silky finish. Super enjoyable and fun. Will stand up for years I am sure! Got better in hour two for sure. Will open 2 hours early next time. No sediment or sign of age.

7/26/2019 9:50:00 PM - Hey Insane Diego. Alas, our best recommendation for 2011 Sassicaia would be to wait a few more years. Nevertheless, we think it will be much yummy. Open, sniff and sip to determine whether or not to decant. We guess yes, albeit you could allow to breathe in the bottle for a few hours if you have the time. We would munch with some Provolone, Taleggio, Parmigiano Reggiano (36 months) and various Italian meats on ciabatta bread. Oh my Ears and Whiskers, what a wonderful sipping 'n snacking event...we wish we were with you. San Diego is a very nice place!!!
