5 of 5 good color, no signs of age 10 Of 15 aromas of dark cherry eucalyptus, sweet tobacco 15 of 20 softer mouthfeel, consistent with 10yo+ age. Still enough tannins for structure and mouthfeel pairing well with grilled steaks 10 of 10 age able. It’s softer, yes, but Kevin’s much maligned ‘11 is still drinking well

Nice straw yellow color. Soft acidity, Meyer lemon, stone fruit, and a bit of petrol. Long finish. Easy drinking. Excellent value for money, high quality for the Finger Lakes.

5/5 color and appearance Still a very young looking wine. Very purple, no signs of aged color, clean but inky appearance. 10/15 aroma/bouquet Coffee and green pepper. No fruit aromas. Seems unripe. 14/20 flavor/mouth feel etc Mineral, black coffee and green notes (well, it is a 2011) Also, high in alcohol still. Blackberry lingers afterwards. After 1.5 hours open, more approachable. Once the alcohol begins to flash off. Now it’s more balanced. Good acidity, and something for mid and back palate to enjoy/think about. Not as unripe as it smelled on opening. Not tannin heavy. Balanced. 10/10 aging ability and overall Overall, it’s still quite good. Perhaps even opened too soon? Never the less, it’s impressive as 2011 goes. Hoping the 2012 fairs as well. 89/100
