Entered this wine in a tasting session with friends, where it stood out for its refinement, elegance and balance. Very well made wine, not strong or overpowering, but convincing nonetheless.

Served this with quenelles de brochet sauce Nantua, i.e. poached pike cakes with crawfish sauce, a rich, creamy, tasty dish from the Lyon region. Perfect match. Wine has a good balance of wood, acidity, herbs and a hint of bitter. Intense but elegant.
