Almost attains “mostly harmless” category in the immortal words of the Galactic Encyclopedia.
Tasted between 1 and four hours after decant. Minimal evolution.
Nose. Plummy, rather muted. Mystery grape. Palate. Meh. Smooth to point of boredom; easy, zero grip. Tannins way over in the next parish. Low acid. Like a 60% scale model of a Napa. Plummy (more on stewed side than jammy) , slightly peppery finish. Not as apparently alcoholic as might have been expected. Unexciting. Poor match for bbq steak, which is failing its primary job description. Now, what do I do with second bottle ….
Perfect patio pleaser. Very pale pink. Stone fruit on the nose, palate is refreshing, a hint of grapefruit and herb adds a little interest to a simplified Provençale rosé. Delivers what one expects, and no need to strain one’s grey matter. Good QPR. Will try to blind taste along side main cuvée.

Some pencil box and blackcurrant leaf on the nose. Palate absolutely in the zone, a delight. It took a couple of hours to open up. Tannins evolved, moderate acidity keeps it fresh and balances the ripeness, tastes as if the merlot and cab franc are punching somewhat above their weight (10% each). Not overly sophisticated, but no country bumpkin either. Was even better two days later (under argon). Drink now or keep another five years. Very good QPR from release.
