Out of magnum, consistently smashing showing, out of 750, about 50% hit rate. Beware of buying a 750 off list - a bottle i had was not flawed enough to send back but hollow enough to give displeasure.

Mott’s apple juice nose, fine bubbles, palate was nicely balanced betw fruit and well judged acidity; but that unripe green in the back note telltale sign of mediocre bunches not sorted out. a bottle off of wine list, drank half glass and shared the rest with the FH in case they might find more pleasure in it— not all are sensitive to the unripe element. People were happy to glug it so I’m sure it’s fine. Just reinforced my view Paul Bara wines are quite pedestrian.

Open and giving right from the pop - sweet red berries, sous bois, delicate rose petal. The palate is still very NSG (especially compared to the 02 Boudots which was Vosne-spice laden, all silk and seductive) ie a bit of iron, a bit of velveteen grip. Not nearly as complex as Boudots either, and the finish felt abrupt in comparison. This is in a slutty stage and I would pop keep popping em.

3/23/2022 8:31:00 AM - Hi,
We have been through your cellar and noticed some fantastic wines. We run a collective subscription, offering rare and difficult to find wines to our exclusive members.
Our members subscribe monthly, Maggie then hand-selects a bottle and places it within your box, with a limited edition, printed piece description of the wine of that month. Then, twice a year you receive 12-24 bottles of wine; like a 2004 Domaine François Raveneau, Chablis, Butteaux, 1er Cru ($466,00) and 2017 Domaine Coche-Dury, Corton Rouge, Hospices de Beaune - Charlotte Dumay, Grand Cru ($488,98), delivered to your door.
We would like to invite you to our collective. If this is something that interests you, or if you have any questions, please let me know and I would be happy to talk.
We look forward to hearing from you.
