Star anise, plum, with a hint of tobacco leaf aromas. Super dry, with a full set of tannins after 4 hour decant. Flavors of cherry cola, touch of chocolate, and a rosemary with quinine finish. Super Tuscan tasting Saturday, and had the pleasure of also tasting the 2017, 2019, 2020 all of which need more time in the bottle.

Strawberry rhubarb, nutmeg, and tar. Tawny color, with nice soft acidity. Flavors of dark cherry with a soft white pepper finish. Amazing soft texture.

Pine and fig newton aromas. Tawny color, with soft tannins, and super dry. No decanting. Flavors of cassis, dried current, cocoa, and leather. Finish of clove and white pepper. This is our last bottle of the Neal 2001 Cab. the 2001 was also our first introduction to Neal, @ 19 years ago. They continue to be a great producer, with 'value' Cabs under $100/bottle.
Last sip is chewy with wonderful black currant!
