The 2013 Louis Jadot Macon-Village is an unoaked chardonnay with 12 1/2% abv. It showed a clear, medium, straw-yellow in color and an aroma of grapefruit with a hint of apple.
The wine is dry with the right amount of acidity to balance the tangy citrus/apple fruit flavor. The flavor lingers for about 30 to 40 seconds although some acidity remains on the palate after that time.
All in all, this refreshing wine shows a good balance of acid and fruit.

Malolactic fermentation in new and used French & American oak. Then up to 20 months in oak.
14.5% abv
Color: Clear medium/deep garnet.
Aroma: Rather week dark cherry, with a hint of pencil shavings. Faint chocolate note.
A medium to full-bodied dry wine. A bit too acidic, but not bad. Acid and tannins take over after about 30 seconds. Overall, not too impressive because there is not quite enough fruit to balance the acid and tannins, but still okay.

10/9/2015 - cmurrays Likes this wine: 89 Points
This 100% chardonnay was aged 6 & 1/2 months in 76% French oak, 14% of it new.
Color was a clear, medium, straw-yellow. The aroma was youthful, fruity, and moderately aromatic with pineapple, vanilla, and a hint of coconut.
This dry, full-bodied wine is very well balanced with a length of 30 to 40 seconds. The oak is very noticeable, but not overpowering.
