My bottle shined wonderfully with muted cherry, clove and violets (or what I think violets would taste like). Others here spoke of cooked flavors. I wonder if their bottle(s) had heat damage or if the bottles are inconsistent. I'll probably buy a case and find out.

Nice effort. Young so may need more time to shine. Seems to be complexity under the cherry fruit forward expression. I preferred the Beaujolais, Robert-Denogent, Jules Chauvet 2015 that I recently had.

I was hopeful. I have not been a fan of cdp since they (mostly) seemingly followed Parker down the rat hole to make one-dimensional cherry bombs that never seem to open into something beautiful. This beast (15% alcohol) was far from worthy of the expense that my gf undertook to try to buy something special. I opened it and decanted; after two hours it was still one dimensional, jammy and alcoholic.

12/18/2021 6:10:00 AM - Hi Scott. Frank here. You have inspired me yet again. I shall try to add my cellar to the list and start reviewing my wines. The Mouton 1999 I had recently (thank you Andrea) was Mouton special but not memorable (like I remember the 1982, when I had it long ago), and perhaps even younger.
