Wowww. Seriously and dangerously good . syrah as syrah is supposed to be. As I believe syrah was meant to be. Grateful to be able to drink cooler vinyages like 14. Crispy, clear, direct, elegant and breezy. Texturally unmatched, doesn't loose or drop in it's amazing tension. The acids help to show a genius side of simplicity. Not super extravagance or extravert. Def. not a robert parker wine, which is a big compliment in my eyes.
we tasted it directly after opening and it was quite reserved and closed. After 1 hour in karaffe the wine opened up beautifully.
At the end of the bottle, having been in karaffe for 2.5 hours the wine shut down completely. with our last sips, suddenly the wine stopped giving, fruit faded, layers disappeared, velvety texture crumbled. We were lucky to have this amazing drinking window.

Great wine. Nice evolution after 12 years! Quince, elderflower, chamomile, ripe grapes, dried grass. Great aromatics.
Lovely acidity. Clear remniscents of big barrel ageing and lees ripening.
Palate is nice and tight with great acidity.
