An excellent dessert wine, Moscato is fresh and soft, very fruity, lightly sparkling, preserving its extraordinary characteristic grapey flavours. Its low alcohol content (5.5%) means that it can be appreciated after a meal as it won't leave you feeling heavy or bloated.

“VC: Most wine lovers are familiar with the classic white wines of Alsace, but this cool, dry and sunny region also makes elegant Pinot Noir like this one from well-known producer Pierre Sparr. Dry and medium-bodied, it features lovely soft red fruit flavors of cherry and strawberry, with some earth and light spice notes. Crisp acidity and light tannins. My note: Smooth layers of raspberries, smoky black cherries and pomegranate up front, with a thread underneath. Satin texture slips quickly past as you savor a finish that’s tinged with longing. Pair with: poached salmon, roast chicken with a mushroom gravy sauce, cold meats, goose, beef bourguinonne.”
