I've been gradually polishing off a case over recent months, and have considered most bottles to be very pleasant but far from earth shattering. Last night, however, i decanted a bottle for much longer (4 hours) and the characteristics changed beyond recognition - the wine put on weight and developed wallops of tobacco and syrah-like smoked bacon. Quite wonderful, in fact.
