Immediately upon opening, beautiful clarity and color, white/yellow. Light lemon nose. Nice mineral with green apple, mild vanilla, lemon and tartness. These flavors became rounder and fuller as the wine opened. Very good bottle and less sharp tartness than typical. Acidity went away with food. Very clean to drink.

I agree with Matjet completely and equate this to the 1982. We had four bottles over Thanksgiving dinner November 28 and it was truly amazing each time. No need to retype his notes. Perfect tannins, luscious and long finish. Seductive and gorgeous balance all the way to the brain. It’s been a long time since the Chateau produced such a winner. Don’t miss out if you’re a fan!

Really a delicious, delicate wine with an extremely long, tasty finish. Flavor notes like those two tastings below (Creme brûlée and apricot) but not as big or full as we had anticipated. The second sip had a slight sharp edge but only in the first few minutes. Opened up nicely and shared it with 10 others. The sweetness was spot on, not to much and not too little. Too bad it’s the last one. Drink it if you have it.
