Beautiful wine and I don't think I am moved to say that about Syrah very often. Very meaty nose with plenty of herb nuance. Dark and boisterous it explodes with goodness. Balance is impeccable and will be a worthy addition to any cellar. I have very little syrah in my cellar but this will be in it! Might be able to have this for lunch, not with lunch, for lunch! Prediction is 99 but only cuz I haven't tried a 100 pt. syrah from WA ST. so not sure where the bar is.

Big and Bold and bursting with unapologetic greatness!! The future of WA ST wine looks extremely promising. The nose is pure with a heavyweight battle between wild berry and a mineral tension that makes this wine very interesting. On the palate this is a beast, but in the best way possible, as a tug-of-war between fruit and tannin continues through the long finish. Tannins are ripe an fine grained. Cassis makes an appearance with air drawn across the palate and the nose gives up some tobacco. Glad I tried it even though way too early. 98+ but in a few years and we may be looking at 100. May already be that.

Very nice right out of the gate! Beautiful aromatics including pencil lead and cassis. On the palate terrific balance leads the way as mouth watering acidity is met by outstanding fruit and tannin. Outstanding wine and may be the best of the line up, although Four Flags is right there!

5/23/2023 11:50:00 AM - ZOSO, I love your very detailed tasting notes. Very few people take the time to think about the experience in such a visceral manner and then share it with the community. Thank you for doing so. Apparently, you also have great taste in music. Cheers!
