A little past its prime but still enjoyable. Drink yesterday. Mid-red color, not much if any browning on edges. Dried red fruit on palate, tea, earth, a bit of acidity on the finish

A light, dusty, translucent red in the glass. On the nose there are red berries, raspberry, cherry, tea aromas, spices. On the palate are the same red fruits, tea, earth/forest floor, some oak. Very long finish that really coats your mouth. A very well made wine with many years of improvement ahead of it, I probably opened it too soon but I couldn't resist. A little bit astringent at first out of the bottle but really hit its stride after decanting over the evening. If you want to enjoy it now definitely decant for at least 1 hour. Enjoy!

The type of California chardonnay I want to drink. Maybe my favorite nose of a white in recent memory, tropical fruit, butter and honey. Honey, lemon and tropical fruit on taste. A nice amount of acidity on finish.
