NOTE: anything I think fits prestige wine status I rate at 90+ ie could be anything 90~100. Been out of the loop for 30 yrs when I was playing with 1982 Bordeaux.

Looking a more and more attractive and complex Penfolds 389 over a ‘Coravin Month’. I grew up with it when it was cheap, I preferred aged Kalimna Bin 28 seemed more like an advanced aged Grange. But now because of price I pay more attention, notice the oak, the Penfolds red, and is that a hint of ‘mint’? Something nice and lifted that may develope in time, a very different path to the 2017 Grange which I am tasting at the same time.

I have not entered notes for the 2017, it’s Grange! I’ll make notes when I get the 2018
