Classic representation of aged Sauternes. Notes of honey, orange marmalade & rind and salted caramel. Great acid backbone to balance the palate weight and long finish. Drinking great now and will for a long time to come.

Tasted en double magnum sent from Ch. to dinner at BB&R. My least favourite of the 90', 10' and 00' tasted by a long way. Mushrooms, sous-bois, cigar box, wet leaves, blackcurrant, pencil lead, leafy, smoke, prunes and curry leaf notes. Nice acid and texture still. Perhaps just in an awkward phase at the moment but too much fruit missing IMO considering format and age. Decanted for 4 hours.

Drank in double magnum sent from Ch. to BB&R for dinner. This really needs time. Tasted at 16:30, decanted at 17:30 and main courses weren't served until probably 21:00 ish. The wine got more and more interesting as the evening went on. Notes of bright fruits - cassis, blackberry, blueberry - leather, cigar box, truffle, cedar, dark chocolate, clove and violets. Great acid and a very long, mouth-coating finish. In my opinion, not worth opening yet if you have in your cellar.
