Picked this up in late 2020. Opened this bottle on 2/11/24, second pour on 2/12/24. Let sit in the glass for 15 minutes. Smooth, less tannins than I expected. Dry finish. Paired well with a medium-rare steak w/ chimichurri sauce.

This was opened to celebrate my 60th birthday (slightly late due to life happenings). This particular example was bottled in 2004, according to the label. Seven of us tasted, and it was enjoyed by all. Medium-intense, amber color that fades to clear on the edge. Hints of toffee on the nose, flavors of caramel, cinnamon, hazelnut. Low-tannins, creamy and smooth.
I'm glad we had the foresight to pick up 2 bottles 15-16 years or so ago, and I only wish we had gotten more. The next bottle will be opened on my 65th, if not sooner. It should be fine for another 10 years, if not longer.
