I had low expectations for this bottle after finding it in the recesses of my cellar, knowing that it SHOULD have been consumed several yeats ago. What a surprise to find this well-structured fruity and almost opulent wine waiting for us, and continuing to improve to "the last drop!"

I have a 375 ml bottle that I bought originally. It has been stored in decent fashion, most of the time in several homes in which I have maintained a decent cellar. My tastes have changed over the years and I am no longer interested in retaining this bottle, HOWEVER I cannot reliably vouch for the condition of the wine. Therefore if anyone is in the Grand Haven MI area and would like this bottle I would be glad to let you have it. Gratis. This is NOT an offer to sell, it's free.

Still very dark purple and quite intense for a fifteen year old...plummy and jammy on the palate, with berry flavors and currant, still a bit of tannin even after a bit of decant time. lovely wine to have with tonight's steak and potatoes!

Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese." I've been assisting a close friend's wife in tracking down and vetting potential birth year wines for his 40th this year, and riesling is one of his favorite varieties. I came across this specific Riesling because of his constant berating of my wife and me to plan a Mosel trip with them in the coming years - so I started by just searching 1983 Mosel on WineSearcher. Anyway, that's a long way of explaining how I ended up on the CT page for this specific wine, but I'm in the Lansing, MI area and would be very interesting if you're still trying to get this bottle off your hands.
