Still drinking nicely after 5 years in the cellar. the edges seem to have rounded a bit and the tannins have definitely softened. My wife liked it a bit more than I did, but then she's a bigger Cab fan than I am.

Decanted for 2 hours. Extremely concentrated nose, ripe to overripe red fruit, almost port like or overloaded zinfandel, a bit of heat. On the palate, only a very minor structure that is steamrolled by crushed red and blue fruits, with an acidity that attempts to be present but is also overwhelmed by the extremely ripe fruit bomb that this is. Intense and not wholly enjoyable to my palate. Fans of wines like Caymus 40th will probably find something to like here. Someone looking for harmonious combinations of elegance, power, and finesse should probably look elsewhere.

Great blending job by the winemaker. Cab Franc dominates the nose. Petite verdot adds body to the cab sav and merlot rounds it out. Excellent fruit and structure and a strong finish. Rating may be slightly biased due to my love of petite verdot, which in the hands of a good blender, adds a world of difference to an average Bx blend. If you have not tried this producer, give them a shot. Everything of theirs I have tried is top notch.

Very nice meritage. Nose has hints of anise and raspberry. Opened up nicely within about an hour after opening. This is aging very well and should improve even more. We paired it with an Asian salmon dish and it was great.
