  All about oak here w this monopole Cru f Domaine Faiveley - it is fairish plus though not particularly engaging, nor memorable, to be frank an uneventful drinking experience. Straw-golden, green reflections in the glass. Nose - as said - is utterly driven by new oak w vanilla, butter & nuttiness emerging throughout bottle, hints of barrel spice, honey & grape. Palate is equally aggressive on the oak side, acceptable acidity, roundness & w ample minerality, rancid buttery mouthfeel, finishing slightly lemon-bitter.

  Mineralsk og lett floral hvit mercurey med bra konsentrasjon. Kanskje noe preget av årgangens varme

  Fox Faiveley Dinner (Fox, London Wall, London): Lighter side of golden yellow. Little soap suds sea salt and lemon on the nose. Good yellow fruit, decent freshness, nice balance (no knees or elbows). V good. Half bottle.

  Vanilla and butter. Somewhat heavy handed oak but matched well with the food and company so less critical than I could have been.
