Tasted at a small bistro in Lyon. Light yellow with a green tinge. Nose and palate have lots of wet stone minerals, slightly reductive when first opened but that element faded rather quickly. It e pressed lemon, apricot and pear with a nice fruity texture but still in my mind wholly old world in nature. Finish has a distinct creme brûlée effect. I thought this was nice and a good pair with a variety of seafood and salad dishes. I think this is probably better now with a couple more years on it that it was on first release.

Nice fresh nose with melon. Nice and easy on the palate.

This is starting to gain a bit more complexity. Already started with plenty of 2015 weight but lacked interest. Good value mid week pour.

Cote Chalonnaise Masterclass with James Handford MW (Handford Wines, London): Light, soft, pure in a way and felt effortlessly made ( a good thing) , no oak here, no heavy handed wine making. Soft wine well made and very pretty in its simplicity. Not a pretentious wine at all. A very good 88

Negotiant Imported Wines (Marriot on Pitt Street, Sydney): Cream, slight butter, muted stone fruit, slight marzipan, quite polished, touches of cream and a little white fig. Okay
