Deep golden color as it is poured out of the ceramic (read “gimmicky”) bottle with honeyed lemon, an iota of funk, and some spice. Not nearly as bad as I feared when I saw the color, with that honeyed aspect up front and center. There is also a slight oxidized note, but that works well with the honey. Not what most envision when they think “Chardonnay” but it works, at least for me. thedrunkencyclist.com

While previous bottles have been either too stiff or too robust, this seems to be just about right. Sure, there is now a bit of color, but it’s paired with plenty of pineapple and a touch of lemon. Tart on the palate with balance and depth. Yowza. This held its own against the Clos Pepe Chard that we opened simultaneously, which was a surprise. A pleasant surprise. thedrunkencyclist.com

Tropical fruit, plenty of creamy and smoky notes. Unoaked with impressive character and complexity for no barrel time. Pineapple and mango, creme brulee, caramel, and burnt sugar. And I'd be lying if I didn't say the bottle is pretty cool too.

Found this buried in the cellar. A little old and showed it. Drinkable but not much fruit left as expected.
