AP 7. After an inspiring bottle of the 06 GH Auslese, I had high hopes for this. They were not met. Sweet yellow apple on the nose and little more. Texturally fairly nice, with medium to full body and zippy acidity, but not much complexity or signs of early maturity. The finish is a bit flat in the sense of not having the round fullness of flavor aged Riesling can develop. I realize this note is pretty negative. But a lot of that is the context of another recent bottle of older Prüm which was transcendent. Maybe this 05 BB Auslese just needs more age. Or maybe it's just not that complex a wine.

Sweet and super elegant Mosel Riesling aromas. Velvety and delicious in the mouth. A typical J.J. Prüm Auslese. Lacks maybe some acidity and vividness.

An absolute delight. Quite sweet but acidity in balance - weightless. Flourishing in early middle age - still vigorous, but without the earnestness of youth. At 7.5% it was a struggle not to get through the bottle in about 15 minutes.

Nose was bright and sweet with some interesting complexity. Palate was light, sweet but very clean and bright on the finish. Really quite nice with the Asian fare tonight. Would buy again

(J.J. Prum Bernaksteler Badstube Auslese) Truly spectacular stuff here. Super minerally nose with intense white peaches. Very ripe. Fat and pure with a jaw-dropping creaminess. Dense with the cleanest botrytis you can imagine. A show-stopper.

Surprisingly dark yellow. Very Mosel on the nose, with the typical classy elegance of J.J. Prûm. Light and delicious. Pure hedonism!
