I was expecting an extracted, syrupy Syrah, but what I found was a balanced, medium bodied, elegant Syrah that stays true to its Northwen Rhone roots. While still on the young side, it opens up after a 1-2 hour decant.
Lovely Syrah, co-fermented with a touch of Viogner. Fabulous paired with a simple grilled flatiron steak, sautéed mushrooms, asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes.

Getting more "Rocksy" with time but still heavy on the Viognier profile in the wine

Life is short and the world is a dangerous place. Opening a $75 wine on a Thursday night seems like a good idea.
Some Rocks funk with a lower acidity than expected. Smooth mouthfeel and easy drinking. Not sure that this really needs anymore time.
