Pretty light golden color. The nose has some roasted pineapple, candied lemon peel, and cardamom? The palate throws a hint of sweet at first but dries out in a hurry. Great acid with lots of lemon and pineapple flavors. The sweet hint runs in and out of the palate. Very refreshing wine.

More bold than the 2002 Pierre Sparr Riesling Schoenenbourg also opened tonight. More character, more fruit, more personality. A nice balance of minerality and fruit. Still a bit of acidity, but the fruit seems less bold than it did in earlier tastings. I've got one bottle left, and am torn between holding it for a science experiment, versus consuming now/soon. One way or another, I intend to finish the next one off in the next 12 -16 months. An aroma / flavor profile somewhat similar to my favorite Provence roses of this season, though with a bit more acid and a bit less sweetness. Perhaps a bit fuller. A nice wine, and I could very well be wrong re: aging. But given the season, I'm on a freshness kick, and this has evolved beyond that.

Consistant with the last bottle. A very nice change of pace.

No detailed notes, but I enjoyed my earlier bottles upon release more than this one a year or two later. Not as bright or vibrant today.

Very lively accompaniment for a hearty fish stew, with plenty of brightness and depth.
