Excellent representation of a Pinotage. Needs about an hour to really open. Typical South African terroir. Soft tannins and pronounced fruit. Paired well with outdoor grilled swordfish and eggplant. Much better than we expected from a wine at this price.

OK. Needed well over an hour to start to open even after being decanted. Not as good as other similar wines (price and region) we have recently drunk (e.g., The Grape Grinder).

As the name suggests, coffee is what you get first, well made medium bodied pinotage, I enjoyed the freshness and friendly character of the wine.

Clear, medium + ruby/purple, minimal legs
Clean, notes of tar, vanilla, wet ground, some slight black liquorice and, of course, coffee.
Decent in the mouth, medium, tannins, alcohol, acidity and certainly oak.
Decent for an inexpensive wine... But a little too forward in nose and taste for me.
