Incredible value. This bottle was very satisfying. Fully mature, doesn't seem to have faded. Very balanced, with plenty of fruit. A testament to an unexpected longevity.

Note: I use a rating scale for which 85 represents a very good wine.
Or 87, no matter. Very nice entry level S. Rhone, meaty without being overdone. Easy drinking. I have a half bottle left, and if I remember I will provide day 2.

(ARNOUX Seigneur De Lauris VACQUEYRAS) Vacqueyras Dear Friends, This will be short and sweet. I've been chasing this wine for months and (for some unknown reason?) it's been one of the toughest Southern Rhones for me to find in the vintage. Parker's comments regarding 2007 in Vacqueyras have made the best wines of the region arguably more difficult to come by than those of nearby Chateauneuf-du-Pape. At much lower prices, Vacqueyras appears to be the steal of 2007 and there was talk Arnoux was going to increase the price of this wine more in line with high-end Gigondas. That never materialized - scarcity took care of itself. The wine disappeared from the world market in a matter of weeks and I've had a devil of time securing any. Here's the only allocation I could muster, directly from Arnoux's cellar. If you have any interest in this item, please let Niki know at your earliest convenience. I'll spare you the 2007 Southern Rhone dicta at this point - you already know what the reaction is going to be to a circa $16 wine of this pedigree... FIRST COME FIRST SERVED up to 36/person until we run out This parcel has perfectly provenance directly from the winery cellar: 2007 Arnoux Vacqueyras "Seigneur De Lauris" Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Rhone7477

Not expecting a show stopper but I was hoping this '07 would impress. Lots of plum fruit, hint of meaty/savory flavors. Clipped finish.

Would buy this again in a heartbeat. Much more enjoyable than many a premium bottle.

A wine right at its peak. Nice fruit and nose, smooth tannins. A well made wine.
